Redactive Events Limited - Code of Conduct

Overview

Redactive Events Ltd (REL) is committed to organising events that provide a welcoming, enjoyable and safe experience for all those attending and working.
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to outline our expectations for behaviour as well as the consequences of unacceptable behaviour.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all participants of events organised by REL including attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, press, contractors and staff.
Events include in-person Awards and Conferences, virtual events and smaller events such as judging days and roundtables.

Policy

REL is committed to providing an inclusive, safe and respectful environment for all. Participants are required to behave professionally – harassment and/or sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate and we will not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form. All participants have a responsibility to take reasonable care of their own safety, and that of others. We reserve the right to remove or refuse entry to anyone whose behaviour does not follow our code of conduct.

The following behaviours are unacceptable:

  • Offensive comments relating to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, physical appearance and body image, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
  • Any acts or behaviour disruptive to the event (including heckling, interrupting speakers, protesting).
  • Sharing of content which is inappropriate, including sexual language and imagery
  • Unwanted physical contact, violence, sexual attention or innuendo or intimidation.
  • Possession or consumption of illegal substances. This will result in being immediately ejected from the venue, with the possibility of police involvement.
  • Excessive or irresponsible alcohol consumption.
  • Aggression or intimidating behaviour toward any attendee or member of staff
  • Failure to respect the rules or regulations of the venue or health and safety requirements, including smoking in non-designated areas.

Reporting of unacceptable behaviour

Anyone experiencing or witnessing any harassment, discrimination or behaviour that makes them feel unsafe or uncomfortable are encouraged to report this to the REL onsite events team or venue security team.

For reporting an incident after the event please email: [email protected] providing as much information as possible.

All reports will be investigated and responded to by a team member. All reports or disclosures will be treated professionally and sensitively.

Legal action may be considered if a criminal offence is suspected and, if appropriate, the matter may be reported to the Police or other relevant authorities.
