The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is being set up by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). It’s role is to provide independent, risk based assurance that people are being protected and to require improvements where they are not. It will oversee the safe design, construction and occupation of higher risk buildings so that residents are safe and feel safe in their homes. It will be independent and give expert advice to landlords and building owners, the construction and building design industry, residents and local regulators.
